OriginTrail is an ecosystem based on the Ethereum blockchain that has use cases in the supply industry. It aims to connect supply chain networks all over the world by enabling a trusted data exchange that is universal and collaborative in nature. The OriginTrial Decentralized Network (ODN) is an open-source protocol that facilitates data sharing between various companies and organizations that benefit from the protocol. It’s used as an incentive for the data holder’s good behavior and retains the data’s immutability. It’s also used as a payment for the data holder’s time and resources. The token has a maximum supply of 500 million tokens that are pre-mined and non-inflationary.
