What happens when you send USDT to a BTC address?

I'm sorry, but I have a bit of a confusion here. I was trying to send some USDT to a friend, but accidentally sent it to a BTC address instead. What exactly happens in this scenario? Will my USDT just disappear into the ether, or will it somehow end up in my friend's BTC wallet? And if it does, will it still retain its USDT value, or will it convert to BTC? I'm really worried about this, as it's a significant amount of money for me. Could you please clarify what the outcome would be in this situation? What happens when you send USDT to a BTC address?

In such a scenario, the USDT will remain in the sender's wallet as the transaction cannot be processed on the Bitcoin blockchain.
