Do futures pay dividends?

I've been hearing a lot about futures trading in the cryptocurrency market, and I'm curious about one aspect of it. Do futures pay dividends? I've been investing in stocks for a while and am familiar with the concept of dividends, but I'm not sure if it applies to futures trading as well. Could you please clarify this for me? I'm trying to understand the potential returns of investing in futures and want to make sure I'm considering all possible sources of income. Thank you for your time and assistance in this matter. The pricing mechanism of index futures differs significantly from that of its underlying assets. The futures contract's price is not necessarily aligned with the current value of the index it represents.
