What is cryptoanalysis and how does it work?

Cryptanalysis (from the Greek kryptós and analýein, “to loosen” or “to untie”) is the science (and art) of recovering or forging cryptographically secured information without knowledge of the key.

What is public-key cryptography?

In public-key cryptography, every public key is paired with one corresponding private key. Together, they are used to encrypt and decrypt data. A user’s cryptocurrency is only as safe as the method they use to store it.

What is a perfect cryptosystem?

Such a cryptosystem is defined as “perfect.” The key in this simple example is the knowledge (shared by A and B) of whether A is saying what he wishes B to do or the opposite.
